Wichita Pet Wellness

Dr. Rafferty and her team are truly exceptional. The care they put into making sure animals and their people are at ease and having a great, positive experience is incredible. We took both of our energetic large dogs together and they handled the energy of a dual exam with no issues whatsoever. My dogs actually got to just be dogs and have fun at the vet, and were loved on by everyone there. They didn’t even notice getting their vaccinations and stayed happy during exams with clever distractions to reduce anxiety. Additionally, I really appreciated how they took the time to be thorough, share knowledge, and put the animals’ needs first rather than push for the highest bill as is seen so often now. The prices were more than fair, and comparative estimates were even given for different options. I can’t recommend this practice enough! We’re so happy to have switched our animals to WPW and wish we had years ago. Thank you to everyone there!

This place is the greatness , they are so patient with my husky. You can tell that they really care, and they take the time to explain things to you.

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I have to for this place. I take my pup and kitty here and I hope I never have to take them anywhere else. The team in this office is SO kind, they love my pets just like I do. The doctor and the staff do everything they can to make my pets feel comfortable, even my little kitten Gertrude when she was scared for her first visit. I was so nervous to bring her after only getting her a few months after losing my last cat. I didnt want them to judge me for getting a new kitten so soon. But they didn't make me feel that way at all. And loved her so much. They have never gotten frustrated with my high energy aussie mix, not even when I'm frustrated and embarrassed that she loses all sense because shes that excited to be there. But most importantly, when I lost my best boy, Kitten. They had never seen him as I had always took him to a cat specific vet for 11yrs, but after WPW treated my dog I brought my cat here after he passed away at home unexpectedly. The staff didn't make me feel bad for bawling in their office before handing him over for cremation. In fact, they sent me a sweet card with nose and paw prints to my home. They genuinely care here. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you Dr. Rafferty and team. (Pictures of the fur babies for funsies)

First ever negative review I’ve written online: I explained when scheduling that my dog had previously failed trazodone for nail trims and had required sedation twice. I was given an appointment, waited about a month, paid a $70 deposit, and took time away from work believing a sedated nail trim had been arranged. Only after the examination was I told they would not perform it and that I would need to return after trying trazodone again. My other dog, who tolerates nail trims and was booked for one, also left without having his nails trimmed because of a “scheduling mistake” requiring an exam before a nail trim (he had an appointment and they took his photo and weight). I understand that veterinarians make independent clinical decisions, but the clinic’s requirements should have been clearly explained before the appointment was booked and I took time off work. I will not be coming back.

The staff here makes you feel so comfortable. Not like a lot of the vet clinics you go to where if you ask about price they immediately look down their noses for the rest of your visit like your a terrible pet parent. Not here. They give you the price before they do anything to ensure it is within your means. They truly love animals and are not just there for the paycheck. Wonderful clinic! Would not take my pets anywhere else
